Aylestone Park v Radford (League Cup 4-3) 07/03/17

Radford were stunned when home side Aylestone Park scored from three headers on 21, 27 and 30 minutes. Radford were clearly second best but still had several chances. It looked promising on 3 minutes when Errol Campbell had a shot that hit a post. Just before half time the Aylestone keeper tipped the ball into his own goal when he misjudged a cross into the box.
Radford were the better side in the second half but on 55 minutes the referee awarded Aylestone a penalty for the flimsiest of challenges. The spot kick was duly despatched. Radford did not give up and were rewarded on 82 minutes after Joe Meakin cut inside and slotted the ball past the keeper. On 89 minutes Ruben Desrosiers made it 4-3 when he also cut inside to beat the keeper with a low drive. Radford were frustrated going into time added on and could not work another decent chance before the final whistle.
